While LU RONG YUAN YU 102 is registered as a purse seine vessel in the NPFC list, the identical name has been seen used by two vessels with different fishing gear types. LU RONG YUAN YU 102 with lift net type was seen at 42˚21.3'N, 151˚ 55.5'E on 11 October 2016. Another LU RONG YUAN YU 102 with stern-trawl type was seen at 42˚ 7.3'N, 151˚13.8'E on the same day. LU RONG YUAN YU 102 was also seen with carrier vessel MIN FU DING YU LENG 08888 at 42˚22.2'N, 151˚19.6'E on 12 Oct 2016. The port displayed on LU RONG YUAN YU 102 vessels was Shidao. This vessel was included in the NPFC IUU list on 13 November 2017. NPFC considers any vessel using the name LU RONG YUAN YU 102 to be operating illegally.
