This vessel was included in the NPFC IUU vessel list on 19 August 2018 for harvesting species covered by the NPFC in the Convention Area without authorisation. A Japanese patrol vessel sighted this vessel drifting in the Convention area at 39˚50.00'N, 147˚1.8'E on 21 July 2017. The vessel was photographed at the time displaying the name LU RONG YU 612 on the side of the vessel. However, AIS information showed this vessels name as LU LONG YUAN YU 108. This vessel held a China flag at the time of IUU activity.
