Overview

On the 27 May 2016, this vessel was inspected by British Indian Ocean Territories (BIOT) patrol vessels. This vessel was found to be fishing without authorisation in BIOT waters using prohibited fishing gear. 1500 kg of reef species, including shark, were found on board. Whilst detained and being escorted to port, this vessel fled to the high seas and was included in the IOTC IUU list in May 2017 and later delisted on 14 December 2018. Sources indicate this vessel held India flag during IUU activity.
