Originally Japan flagged and owned, this vessel transferred to Mauritius flag and owner, Noor Fishing Co Ltd, in 1992 alongside name change to NOOR STAR NO. 2 from SHOWA MARU NO. 26. This vessel operated under the Mauritius flag until April 2016 with numerous Mauritius owners until transferring to Comoros flag and combined owner operator Rodia Processing Plant Co Ltd. From 30 June 2014 to 12 April 2017 this vessel held coastal state licenses from Mauritius. This vessel was included in the SIOFA IUU List for fishing in the Agreement Area without authorisation due to AIS satellite evidence provided by the EU. This vessel was later delisted on 26 October 2018 and reported sunk on 1 May 2019 off Port Louis Mauritius where it was anchored since June 2018.
