COMBINED IUU VESSEL LIST

This vessel was Bolivia flagged, owned by Sunhope Investments and held the name TUNAGO NO. 62 then BOSTON in 2000 until October 2004. During this period, documentation discovered by Australian authorities found this vessel was a member of Sunhope Investments “Alphabet Boats”, a fleet of vessels with a reputation for illegal toothfish fishing operations in the Antarctic. Ownership transferred to Great Feat Inc alongside reflagging to Georgia and renaming to JIAN YUAN in October 2004. This vessel was included in the CCAMLR IUU list on 4 November 2005 for operating in the Convention Area without authorisation. Vessel details at the time of IUU listing give owner as Great Feat Inc, flag Russia and name BOSTON-1. This vessel was included in the SEAFO IUU list on 31 October 2007 for fishing within the Convention Area without authorisation in December 2005, November 2006 and January 2007. At the time of SEAFO listing, this vessel was named NORTH OCEAN, flagged to China and under owner/operator China National Fisheries Corporation. This vessel was later delisted from both IUU vessel lists on 15 November 2011.
